Eyes Wide Open

When artistic vision meets professional suicide

Director Diane Fletcher has spent years convinced that everyone in the film industry is a talentless hack, everyone except herself. So when she finally gets the chance to make her autobiographical masterpiece, naturally she decides to destroy every relationship she’s ever had in the process.

Enter Jessica: young, beautiful, and perfect for the lead role. Too perfect. Soon Diane’s creative mentorship turns into dangerous obsession, and her best friend Susanne watches helplessly as another production goes up in flames.

Set in Sydney’s cutthroat film world, is a savage comedy about what happens when artistic integrity collides with basic human decency. Spoiler alert: the art doesn’t always win.

For anyone who’s ever wondered if genius justifies being a complete bitch.
